You have four souvenir cards and you attempt to visit them as quick as possible, starting from Paddington, Victoria or King's Cross, or Farringdon, OR Charing Cross. But each time you change lines you have to pick up a hazard - this varies from going to a certain station, moving 10 stations on the Circle Line, going to watch cricket at the Oval or at St. John's Wood etc. Each person can close one station of their choice.

Oh that, yes I've played that before. It's upstairs in a cupboard somewhere.
I would suggest that as most people either miss a train, fall over, break their ankle or get stopped by the BTP, they take a penalty most times they change trains ...

I've played it a few times, with a copy simply called "The London Game" - the "Travel" bit seems to be a recent addition. It's not bad.

We have the luxury edition and I have taken the old version with "Aldwych" on to at least one post Zone 1 function where a few of us played itRoot wrote:I've played it a few times, with a copy simply called "The London Game" - the "Travel" bit seems to be a recent addition. It's not bad.
There is also an very similar version covering NR lines in the UK which we also have but the name escapes me....

Has anyone heard of the Great Western Railway Game? I bought it back in the late '80s and still have it upstairs.

Scotland Yard is a good game... haven't played it in ages though, and actually it's at home-home somewhere (if Mum hasn't got rid of it, that is!)
Attempts: 2 (17h38m, 238 stations) (unknown, 200 stations); Completions: 0; GWR: 0; PBs: 0.

Oh yes, Scotland Yard. God I love that.***** wrote:The London Travel/Tube game is very lame - I got it as a present last Christmas, played it once, thought "is that it?" and haven't played it since. Scotland Yard however is much much better!
