The DLR challenge will take place on:

Saturday 10th September at 1pm

Provided that the extension to Stratford international is complete and there are no last minute engineering works!

Post-challenge meet up will be at Captain Kidd near Wapping station.

Who knows? I think the opening date has been about a month away for the last six months

July 4th is the opening date... Oh, wait :P

August 22nd is also proposed...

Some say it'll coincide with Westfield Stratford opening sometime in September...

I'd quite like a pop at the DLR challenge, it's not one I've yet to attempt.

Once an opening date is confirmed. I'd love to get an event organised!

Might be a good time to test it without the normal peak traffic?

Looking at tfl there are no planned engineering works on the DLR or lines around it on bank holiday Monday.

How would people like to the challenge?

My proposal is:
- 13:00 start
- Start at any station
- Groups or individuals
- you may choose whatever train you want after 13:00 but you can't restart
- cut off time of 4 hours

Anyone know a good met up pub in the east end?

The Captain Kidd near Wapping station is a good recommendation...

It might be better to wait a week or so until it has definitely opened, rather than get there and find there has been a last minute delay.

Afraid not but it is a good pub :) We haven't really researched this area for darts facilities I guess the nearest known pub would be The Anchor Tap near Tower Bridge
