Full Network Attempts to become WAY more expensive

Post by al »

Have just seen in the London reconnections blog that the price of a 1-9 peak day travelcard is going up a stonking 14.8% to £18.60 from January :( I guess that's one way to make the current fare of £16.20 look cheap

P.S. No gloating from those who don't need to pay this to attempt a challenge please :!:
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

I wonder how many people actually buy Z1-9 peak travelcards except tube challengers? I expect the vast majority of people who live in Amersham/Chesham would either have a season ticket or be using PAYG.

Lots of art galleries, including the Tate Modern, are free too.

Just to make everyone jealous here, when I do loads of attempts in Summer 2011, I'll be 16 but I'll still get a child ticket, which I don't know if that's going up a lot or not, but hey it's saving me money! :P

I think you should just play by the rules :)

(Incidentally, with this talk here, I know that in the past some Challengers (I say not who!) have purchased both an adult ticket and a child ticket, operating the gatelines with the child ticket. Where would that stand here?)

I personally think that ok as they have actually spent more sometimes it doesnt even let you out of the gates.
