Tube Challengers
Something that has been on my mind a bit recently is why there is a divide within Tube Challenging when it comes to male/female. Yes, admittedly I did publicise that I was the first solo female record holder but having looked at the Wikipedia page, it now has a bit about female challengers.
I like to think that in this day and age things are equal, it's not like other sports where men have an advantage, such as Javelin/Shot Putt etc. Tube challenging requires more of a mental skill in working out the optimum route, researching door positions etc and when on a challenge, anyone can run or hold a door, there shouldn't be a division and I don't really understand how it has come about....
Anyways.... mind just went off on a tangent!!

Re: Tube Challengers
There is one vital element that is a great skill to have, which is chatting up the drivers and in my opinion the master of this art has been away from this forum for too long. Any guesses who that is?Sam wrote:Tube challenging requires more of a mental skill in working out the optimum route, researching door positions etc and when on a challenge, anyone can run or hold a door
One day I shall return!

Re: Tube Challengers
I think the reason there are few female record holders, and few female Tube Challengers in general, is because... well... boys like to "play with trains" more than girls do!
Re: Tube Challengers
Seeing as i wrote up (admittely in bad english) most of what happened in the present day perhaps u might like to add some female insight on wikipedia.Sam wrote:Something that has been on my mind a bit recently is why there is a divide within Tube Challenging when it comes to male/female. Re: Tube Challengers
Why would I want to add female insight, we shouldn't be seperated from the male challengers like we are some sort of abnormal breed!!
I like the way you big yourself up on it as well! HA!
