The re-opening of the East London Line
According to information that I've just received, it would appear that the East London Line will be re-opening to passengers tomorrow - Tuesday 27 April - with a 'preview' service between Dalston Junction and New Cross / New Cross Gate. The first passenger train will be the 12:05 from Dalston Junction. The ‘preview’ service will initially be running Mondays to Fridays only, between 07.00 and 20.00, prior to joining the National Rail network on 23rd May.

I reckon we might be able to get 'inside' confirmation of this from one or two people on here...

Don't look at me - I work for a proper train operating company.

No, I'm despicable.
But seriously, I had heard something about the ELL opening tomorrow but I'm not sure whether to believe it or not.

Yes - I can understand the scepticism - there have been a few proposed re-opening dates which have been missed! However, tomorrow's re-opening date is official - the e-mail that I saw came from a senior London Rail source - and the ELL is now on the TfL journey planner - from tomorrow, at about midday!

Apols. for the link not working! However, try a Whitechapel to Wapping journey on the TfL journey planner for tomorrow at just after midday!

Re: The re-opening of the East London Line
So it's only going to New Cross? Not all the way down to Croydon?
