Original post:
Hi, I've been considering doing a tube challenge for several years now, but have only just reached a stage when I think I could actually do it (hitting 18 being one of them).

Anyway, I've been reading through the forum and am suddenly overwhelmed by the number of acronyms used, I'm guessing they're all fairly obvious once found!

Anyway, anyone want to compile a list to help people who don't want to trawl all the old threads to get a gist of it?

I've been musing over which acronyms he means too.

List them down and we'll see what we can make of them!

I'll extend it to acronyms and other shortenings, ok:

R15, ah, just found a thread fully titled as "Random 15"
Z1CC is Zone 1 Charity? Challenge

I seem to be answering my own questions. I posted this thread originally at 2am, so I've forgotten most of the other ones I bumped into!

R15 is indeed "Random 15", this has become one of the more popular challenges in the past couple of years. 15 stations within Zones 1 & 2 are drawn at random and you must try and visit all 15 in the fastest possible time. The great thing with this challenge is that it's impossible to plan any route in advance, so it really tests your skill of planning a good route in the shortest possible time. The stopwatch starts as soon as the envelope containing the stations is opened.

 I always thought this was because District line trains at Bayswater weren't such a common occurrence, so you'd ask yourself, "Wimble-where?".

Thanks for clearing that up. :D
