Well that's more than I've done! Your bound to be faster than myself and MylesHSG
Iain wrote:2) Anything I need to do beforehand - just been looking at tickets and I'm guessing just buy a zone 1-9 travelcard the day before? Plus bring along a rucksack with some drinks and snacks, and then turn up at High Barnet bright and early (or early at least) next week.
Yep, just buy an all-day 1-9. Oyster card as a back up is always a good idea. Are team is planning on also getting a pizza while waiting for the bus at Amersham. A notepad for times and train numbers is also useful.

I assume your welcome to come along, though double check with palkanetoijala31 (Andi), the team leader!

Ah brilliant, thanks - I saw Sam was from Sutton, who else? I think Geoff actually went to my old school, or at least he had the same art master who used to work at Morden, judging from his early attempts.

Hope that's okay if I turn up Andi?

Now I must stop looking at Journey Planner trying to work out quick routes - at least for now!

I think it has changed slightly, as Andi is putting in more bus routes for myself as im not a fast runner.

That works for me - I haven't done anything more than the odd potter for four or five years so anyone thinking of me as being marathon fit is going to be in for a surprise! I do have a place for next year but am yet to start doing more than the odd few miles :)

No need to take a notebooks & pen though for a CiN attempt. If you're not breaking the record time, then why log it? Just take photos, and enjoy the day rather than having the tedious effort of logging it all...
The only benefit of logging is to see how long actual sections of the line take to complete, which can/may come is useful for future attempts..
I have continued to log in the past even when a GWR was out of reach, well at least until the point where you get totally demoralized :!:

Hi all!

Geoff: I finished there in 1981 so we'd have missed each other. I certainly wasn't artistic so I doubt of any of my works got kept until you were there!

Andi: Many thanks :)

Ah I did wonder about logging stuff since it's not a record attempt. Yeah I can see the sense of getting the timings, not sure I'll ever make a record attempt, I'm finding the whole thing strangely fascinating though so I wouldn't rule it out.

Good tip on the immodium! I gather an empty container is also useful as there aren't many stations with toilets (I used to regularly use the one at Morden after a night out in town, but I believe this is no longer in existence). I'm somewhat puzzled as to how to use it discreetly on a busy train.

Will see you guys at High Barnet, really looking forward to this! :D

Not between drafts 2 and 3. But I do have one more secret which comes from being a cricket fan but may be well known.
