They were built in 1977 or something I think, weren't they? I don't think they could easily reproduce the production line 30 years on. I'm sure they'll just wait to introduce S stock, even though its a few years off yet.

But the first batch were derived in 1969 and the second in 77

So going by Barrykaz's very interesting post, would it be possible to drag an unused train of tube-stock kicking and screaming onto the Circle/H&C lines if the need arose? Or did his comments only apply to SS-Stock?
