Well we probably won't have many entrants, so I guess it will be good to boost the action. OK maximum 3 teams.
Yes the entrants so far have been disapointing, but at least you have attracted more than my "Fantasy Footie" so far being niljonny wrote:Well we probably won't have many entrants, so I guess it will be good to boost the action. OK maximum 3 teams.
The first option for me without question, honestly it is so easy to do the transfers on the internet and takes about 30 seconds....Root wrote:That's because we're lazy, Kevin! Given a choice between a one-off decision and a constant involvement, which one do you think is more attractive?
I think I'll take two teams: The almighty Fulham FC (okay, just Fulham FC will do), and Grays Athletic of the Conference. A little research will show you why.
Like Kevin says, the transfers on the telegraph web site are really easy, and I don't spend more than a couple of minutes each week just checking that my team line up is ok. You don't have to concentrate on the whole season if you prefer you can just focus your transfers into a few weeks and try to win "Manager of the fortnight" prize money. I also think the chance of winning £50,000 is quite attractiveRoot wrote:That's because we're lazy, Kevin! Code: Select all
1. Each player must pay £5 at the beginning of the season to the organiser. All of the original money (i.e. £[5 * (the number of entrants)] is then payed to the league winner. Any interest earned on the money given to the organiser at the beginning of the season is kept by the organiser.
2. No-one may withdraw, or join, once the season has started, or once money has been payed to the organiser.
3. Matches will be arranged for every weekend, as of the start date, until all fixtures have been played.
4. If an involved team is not playing a match on a weekend with fixtures, then alternative matches will be decided on for the results to be used. These matches must be decided on before they are played.
EDIT: I realise I never did post these rules before, therefore the 3 people that paid before the rules were posted (SCOTD, GreatKingRat and Root) may still withdraw, should they wish to.
5. The league table will be sorted firstly on points scored, then goal difference, then goals scored, etc. as FIFA the English Football Assocation have dictated for the Football League.
6. One round of matches will be played, with one fixture for each pairing (as opposed to the conventional home and away ties).
7. If there is time at the end of the season then another league can be organised -- this must be done with a vote by every participant from the previous league. Should a draw be the outcome then the organiser must decide. Players who have taken part in the previous league do not necessarily have to participate again and if they do they may chose a new team.
8. Players may be allocated more than one team, although teams may only have one player allocated to them.
