I think this works as a spoiler in the last minute of GuyBarry's post - as it is 06:00.

No it doesn't. In order to spoil a claim for X points, you have to get in less than X minutes later. 16 minutes later than 23:44 is reckoned to be 06:00 by the downtime rule, so you would have had to get in before then - i.e. 23:59 or earlier. If I'd claimed 17 points, your post would have been a spoiler.
