I think there are two ways of approaching this one:

a) all stations are accessible from Baker Street with ONE change, so long as you wait for that train/service to become available (Chesham direct, Olympia etc)

b) you apply strict rules to this and say that these services MUST be running at all times, so that if you were to turn up at Baker Street at a random time of day, you would expect to be able to get to these stations in one change.

(By the way, Chesham is still reachable from BS with one change). I think King's Cross is a better starting place.

In light of (a) above, the question should be THIS:

Taking (a) into consideration, is there any station from which it is NOT possible to reach any other station with ONE change?

AFAIK, the only point counting against King's Cross as an answer is that you can't reach Chesham on Saturday (and Sunday?) evenings; you need to cange at Baker Street and Chalfont&Latimer.

Yes, Chesham for starters. Even at times when the entire Metropolitan line is a single hop, you'll never get to Wimbledon or New Cross (or any other District-only or ELL-only station) in a single change.

Furthermore, all Circle Line stations work if you are prepared to spend the night in Whitechapel!

Hmm... how do you get from Bayswater to New Cross then?

Ha! I was hoping for that question...

E.g. at 23.30 the clockwise Circle from Bayswater continues to Whitechapel (and on to Barking - that's how the Circle trains end their day). Then you just wait for the first morning train to New Cross!

So long as you are prepared to wait for the service which provides the possibility of doing it, it CAN be done.

Just because it can't be done regularly, from morning to night, doesn't mean it's not possible ...

Well there was a bar on the westbound platform at Sloane Square (The hole in the wall)..... As far as I am aware this was unique to the network as being the only one that could be accessed without having to leave the station platform. Unfortunately this closed in 1985

Didn't the pub at Kew Gardens used to be accesible from the platform?

It did. It's now only accessible by walking out of the front of the station.

I go in there quite often at weekends - they do great pies!
