I hate ********.

I think he's a timewasting, lying little bastard who has attempted to devalue the level of trust that this community has built up. He's almost succeeded, in fact. We believe each other's claims of record-breaking times and congratulate each other on a good challenge, then he comes along and claims to have beaten a record on his first attempt with an impossibly fast time, which is patently wrong, but is too immature to put up his hands and admit that he was fibbing. I'll still believe others but this little tyke has changed the way I'll regard new members, which is a bad thing, because nobody likes cliques, and while elitism may seem fine if you're one of the elite, it isn't for anyone else.

Not only this rubbish, but he persists in whatever he does, beit ruin Wikipedia (thankfully, an impossible task, for which he is consistently metaphorically shouted at), steal content from websites or claim he's running a group of companies.

He has posted nothing but pointless, timewasting, post-count-boosting drivel since being allowed back onto the forum.

Were this my forum, I'd have kept him banned outright.

In my opinion he has forfeited his right to be a Tube Challenger by proving to us that we simply can't trust him. I NEVER will trust him, this side of actally doing a challenge with him (sure to be a tiresome event indeed).

One of these days, he'll claim to have done a challenge with a reasonable, yet record-beating time, and then what will you do? I certainly won't believe him. I fear that some might, and I don't think he deserves any such attention after all the exasperation he has caused.

Nothing he has said about himself could be taken as truth, in my opinion, excepting perhaps his name.

If you want him to have a second chance, wait until he grows up a year or two. Until then:

Finish him.

Your first paragraph, I agree with - at the moment he comes across as a timewaster who would do well to actually back up his claims with some solid proof (after all, Guinness will want to know how he claimed the fastest time in over 20 years). Your point about everybody here openly discussing their routes and experiences is what makes the whole thing more interesting and worthwhile. I suspect that ******** may hold the opposite view. I feel he has yet to learn the value of sharing ...

And don't forget - Bob Robinson was doing this challenge for well over 15 years and he never got anywhere near this time, despite having to do Ongar and Aldwych. The sheer number of people doing the challenge and not even getting anywhere near 18 hours 10 minutes is a measure of just how hard it is.

********'s lack of transparency is exasperating and I think this is what gets to people most of all.

With regard to him changing the way you feel about new members, I think that's a little unfair to potential new members, as ******** is unique on this forum in that he is the odd one out in terms of apparent maturity. I still have no idea how old he really is, so I can't comment on how mature he SHOULD be for his age.

I don't like to think of this forum as a clique, but at the same time, the level of dissatisfaction is getting to the stage where ******** will have to be excluded for the sake of the bigger picture. I don't want this forum descending into a sea of crap.

I don't WANT to exclude him, but it's beginning to look as though the vox populi will hold sway on this one.

If you're letting people here and there into it, why not share it with the world? You can't keep it a secret for ever, and as I mentioned already, I doubt there is any chance of anyone beating your time.

This is the one which I worked out had a best theoretical time of 2 hours 33 minutes, which you previously claimed wasn't your actual route at all, and was just there to confuse someone called Jon.
