I support Yeovil Town and Leeds United! Plus, I get over to watch PSV in Holland a couple of times a season as well as running the East Stirlingshire exiles club, I manage to get up there at least once a season! However, now living in London, I spend a lot of time down at Dagenham and Redbridge with Steeevooo!

Depends how you look at it, I see it as supporting the underdog, when you have a chairman who wants to shut the club down and pocket any money which is made, it is hard to be anything but sh*te as you put it!
The players are paid a maximum of £10 a week and come on, you cannot really get quality players in on those wages. In Scotland it is always hard to compete with the big boys, but even harder when Falkirk is a matter of miles away. Anyway, check out http://www.freewebs.com/eaststirlingshireexiles for more details!

Reasons; 1) Family on me dad's side originally from East End
2) When is was a nipper Enlgland won world cup, Moore, Hurst
Peters....
3) West Ham ARE the academy of football.......

As Sam has mentioned above, I am an avid Dagger, that's Dagenham and Redbridge to the uninformed (nearest Tube: Dagenham East). Why? They're my local team and I stick by them. And no, I do not support a "higher" league team, as I have been asked so many times when I state who I support!
Also a member of the East Stirlingshire Exiles Club.

Seems like everyone else is getting into the swing of things and posting WHY they support said team, so I suppose as thread starter I should too!
I'm not really a Londoner, but I've spent all my life on the borders of the city. I could have chosen Watford, who were more local, but most of my mates supported or claimed to support them, so I wanted to be different. I decided my "local" team could be any team from London.
I have a vague family connection to Fulham - I have a relative who used to chauffeur some of their players to and from games - Martin Djetou, Steed Malbranque and Edwin Van Der Sar, but occasionally others. He often got free tickets, and often took me along! So I saw Fulham play quite a bit, and always supported them at the games, so I picked Fulham and it stuck.
You can hardly accuse me of being a glory hunter!
