Leaf-Fall Timetables
You'd thought you'd seen the back of these, hadn't you?
The timetables changed without much fuss on Sunday 7 October. I have the Amersham/Chesham/Chiltern branch (you can pick it up at Harrow-on-the-Hill although staff were rather uncooperating). Not as bad this time round, but it will add a few mins to the times. First train now takes two more minutes to do Chesham - Chalfont.
On the plus side, they've added in a few trains:
Mon-Fri:
2052 Watford - Rickmansworth
0048 Watford - Rickmansworth
Sundays:
0700 Rickmansworth - Watford
Thoughts?

Re: Leaf-Fall Timetables
As Autumn comes every year, I don't think there's anyone who thought they'd seen the back of leaf-fall timetables ...

Re: Leaf-Fall Timetables
We wouldn't love it at all, because it would have far-reaching environmental effects.

Well yes, but we'd still have drizzle and fog to grease those rails up nicely.

Back on topic, this could be a very nice finish for a record attempt.hopeful traveller wrote: 2052 Watford - Rickmansworth
WATFORD 2052
RICKMANSWORTH 2100-2109
AMERSHAM 2121-2123
CHALFONT & LATIMER 2127-2135
CHESHAM 2143
so you would need to start after 0515 to have a record breaking route.

On a region such as ours, with so many different types of traction, you wouldn't believe the snobbery.scrxisi wrote:I didn't realise there existed traction snobbery. What a weird world.
