Well they were only showing old European GPs which limits us to recent decades.

If they show some old Belgian GPs next weekend then we could have some good ones. No doubt they'll show the one with Jordan's first win and the one with the huge pile up. And probably the one with Schumacher going into the McLaren garage to kill Coulthard.

Don't know why they can't cram any Tom, Dick or Harry in any old banger and race it round the track, with as many tyre changes, pit stops, petrol tanks and so on as they please.

Don't they still have it there? They certainly do at the Arena Essex Raceway, which is only just out of London. But if you're going there, go and see some proper racing, Speedway. 4 riders on 500cc bikes that go 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and have no brakes on them! Or you could watch it on Sky Sports tonight to get a taster for the shale sliders.

Edit: For anybody who is a bit unsure about Speedway, try looking at this website for a bit more information. www.speedwaygb.com

All the classic Belgian grand prix are up on the BBC F1 site. Wow, I'd forgotten how completely mental 1998 was. Of course I remember the big crash at the start, but i'd forgotten that Damon won in the Jordon and the MSC/COU crash/near-punch-up!

What a fabulous race im so chuffed fisichella and force india get their 1st podium and points brings a tear to my eye.I still think jenson is going to do it they all seem to be tripping each other up behind him grabbing points off each other and with other teams nicking points i think they left it too late.

I remember getting up to watch the race in 1990 when everyone decided to crash on the first two laps. Seems lke ages ago now.
