This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

It is now confirmed, I telephoned today and the outcome of the meeting was that it was a significant change to the system so the two records were not comparable and a new number of stations will now have to be visited after the 22nd, she said though that a new record category wasn't goign to be opened though just a note put on the database, so it looks like Guinness have finally bowed to common sense.

Good news! Thanks for keeping us updated!

Of course, the real interesting remaining issue is whether any record set without HT5 (and/or Wood Lane) will be valid after HT5 opens... Was this mentioned at all when you spoke to them?

My guess is that the impact of HT5 would be on the order of 10-15 minutes which is significant. Wood Lane will hardly make a notable difference.

Yeah I agree with that because Wood Lane will be situated in-between two existing stations whereas HT5 will be an extension of the Piccadilly Line and depending on the timetable and time you arrive at HT123, the time you might have to wait for a change could have significant effects further on.

I didn't ask specifically about T5 but one of the Records Managers I have spoken to mentioned about the work at Heathrow and felt that it wasn't really significant, but I wasn't sure if they meant the replacement bus when T4 was on or the new station at T5, I suppose its just another wait and see job.

I'll be there for the last EL train. It's going to be horrible getting back (TFL says five buses! I'm sure I'll be able to do it in fewer than that if I look at maps myself, but it'll still be fairly horrible), then I'm booked on a 9:30am coach from Victoria the next morning!

I will be leaving my Espace at NXG and driving back towards the Heathrow area shortly after 01:15. Currently 4 seats booked with 3 available (first come first served) :)
One day I shall return!

The TFL routefinder really is terrible with night bus routes isn't it? It suggested that I'd need to take five buses from New Cross to Uxbridge, but 20 seconds of looking at maps tells me that the N171 takes me to Tottenham Court Road, then the N207 takes me home from there. It appears that the journey planner only thinks that the N207 only goes from Acton to Uxbridge. Stupid thing.

I went for a wander around to try and see some of the stations.

It seems like there is a member of staff posted at each station (at least there was someone at Shadwell looking like they were waiting to be complained at). I suppose that's a fair enough thing for some of the surplus staff to be doing. It might be dull, but it's probably better than being made redundant!
