Couldnt agree more, they are currently looking at closing our local hospital in Worthing, a town with a population of 100,000. Just to save a few quid they want to close our hospital, yet this bunch of utterly useless arseholes are prepared to waste millions per day in Afghanstan and Iraq fighting the war on terror. enuff said...

Well, I'm only young, so what do I know? Nevertheless, I'm inclined to agree with you two, except for one thing. I'm not saying whether I personally agree with the Iraq war, but at the time, the majority of British people were actually in favour of the idea. (Subsequently of course popular opinion has swung massively against it.) I suppose that the full consequences of a war weren't really thought of then.

Just remember who gave us a National Health Service.

Now for some controversy!

I think the whole health service and maybe the government needs some serious changes. The government should get up of their backsides and do something about this. We need a government that will change our NHS for the better and end this useless way of things

Yeah OLD Labour gave us the NHS and the Welfare State. NEW Labour are just intent in screwing stuff over.

There speaks the voice of reason from within, simple isn't it?

Those that are old enough to remember the Tory campaign for the 97 election may recall the red flashing lights through the curtains "New Labour new danger" how true that was :x

I have to disagree and say opinions were evenly split on the war and don't think you can say the majority were in favour. It seemed that Hans Blick was just making headway on trying to find WMD's when Bush decided to invade for no good reason other than to give the American public some sense of belief that this would improve their national security. And good old Tony (puppet) Blair followed him into this crazy war.

How stupid declaring a war on terror. When can Bush/Blair declare that they have actually won this war? It's like a red rag to a bull :)

Those of us old enough to remember should also remember the early 90s, the erm fiasco, interest rates at 15%, the economic damage of the miners strike.

I think we have to agree to disagree on this one, I'm not so much old labour as out of the ark labour.
