Good decision on Cannon Street, that makes a lot of sense even if it is a "bitch" of a a starting station

Looking like a good turn out so see you all at the Monument :D

"Cannon Street? How minging," I thought.

Nevertheless, I've now got a reasonably nice route for it, and of course it's a lazy route. I've got the option of either leaving Zone 1 at one point or using the Waterloo and City - what a lovely decision to have to make!

(And of course starting at Cannon Street will mean that you can wait as long as you like for a Circle line to turn up - if that's where you want to go.)

I will attempt to be at Cannon Street for 7pm. If I am late I might have to do my own Z1 from Cannon Street starting a bit later!

The internet is down at work so I can't check into the forum after tonight, and may not get the time when I get home from work tomorrow. Kevin if there is a change of plan at all, could you text me please?

Er, Phil, just to re-iterate:

Meeting time is 1900 please, (1910 latest) at The Monument, if you miss us there the challenge will be starting at 1930 at Cannon Street. (So says tangy)

The Monument is quite large, so it's hard to miss. However, you may have to walk all the way around its base, just to make sure that you see us waiting! I'll try to be there at exactly 7pm. It's just outside an entrance to Monument station.

Alright, alright so I didn't read the post properly after a 12 hour day at work, and made a classic error, we're not all students doing 8 hours a week at uni (and if you not doing 8 hours you're on the wrong course).

What I meant to say was I will attempt to meet you guys at 7, if not 7.30 at Cannon Street, but if I get there after 7.30 I will have to do my own challenge!

I was more worried about something changing and me not finding out. I'm getting a bit lost without internet and email at work.

See you tomorrow, providing I get a train going in the right direction, remember to tie my shoelaces etc!

Thanks for adding that tangy.

Going Underground, hope you got my PM. If you've replied, I'll have a gander now in a mo.

I'm on slightly later than anticipated due to having gone to Swansea this afternoon. Just want to add that I AM going via Chiltern now, having found the perfect ticketing combination for me to do so. I'll finally get the Chiltern mainline done, which is excellent news. No HST action for me though, but hey, I'll survive, somehow.

Anyway, see you all dark and late at Monument!!! In the immortal words of Joe on Family Guy:

BRING IT ON!!!!!

I looked at the map for an hour last night and couldn't find a decent route, Cannon Street stinks :( Oh well it's the same for everyone I guess :)

If you don't come up with a route or don't fancy going around alone you are more than more than welcome to join myself and K9, I warn you though we are not the quickest pairing at interchanges.... :D

Then we'll make a great team, neither am i! Interchanges would not be my strong suit. I haven't really had a chance to plan a route but I will attempt anyway, even if we do team up :)

I have 2 x routes both heading East (contrary to Soup Dragon's plans!)
One has 17 and the other 18 changes both involving the BR link at Vauxhall. What time does McD's close
