Let me know what day you have in mind John as I am on leave all next week and might be able to join up with you :)

Well, whenever you like Kevin. I'm packing as many Zone 1s as I can into these last few weeks before I return to Bath. I've been taking the Zone 1 thing more seriously now, and I've been forming a couple of lazy-boy routes because I think that they are the Way Forward. I'm really trying hard not to have to rely on the Edgware Road-Earls Court service or the Hammersmith and City too much. So I've looked at starting at Euston Square, Paddington (H and C station), and I might do two or three next week!

Whoah you are certainly up for it then John

lets see what Ric says then and maybe think about a Vauxhall starting Z1 on maybe 29th or 30th Aug.. Of course you know my cunning plans I have been working on and I reckon that's why you picked the letter "V" as the starting point

Well as you know Kevin I am constantly trying to out-psyche you and guess your cunning plans, and so far I have been foiled every time. But when we start at Vauxhall, I reckon I know which direction you're going to head in...

PS: I ordered the Way Out map from Amazon.co.uk a couple of days ago and it has already been dispatched! Isn't that something? However being the precise, mathematical person that I am, I would have wanted door numbers as well as carriage numbers, but nobody's perfect.

(And I shall be writing the whereabouts of that secret short-cut at Oxford Circus on it, so that I don't forget.)

I'm free both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings next week, if that's any use. I could be out of work at 6:20, so could manage a 6:45 meet-up, possibly earlier if the station is towards the SW of Z1?

Well, why don't we say Tuesday at 6:55pm at Vauxhall then? I'll have been doing two Zone 1s during the day, testing routes from Paddington (H/C) and Euston Square, so I'll be able to let you know whether lines are running okay, and therefore how much the Circle line is going to screw everybody over (if at all).

As usual, anybody who wants to breeze along is welcome to join us! We'll undoubtedly be meeting at Earls Court McDonald's, probably around 10:20pm, depending upon the challengers' routes.

The Way Out map arrove today and it's going to prove very useful.

I'm changing plan as usual! Gillingham's game on Friday has been called off due to international call ups (don't laugh), so I should be around Friday evening at least, next week is a bit funny for me as my other half is starting her business, but I will be up for something. Kevin, have you still got my mobile number for my last minute decisions?

I guess the international call ups must be the opposition team

Now worries Phil I still have your number so hopefully see you on Friday evening then, unless you are about as well next Tues for the Vauxhall Z1 :D

All of the above is good with me :D

You might also want to start a new topic thread for the Z1 next tuesday then...

Apologies for the treble post, I am just advising the plans for the day, which is confirmed as being Friday 1st Sept.

1) 129 Snake from Harrow and Wealdstone to Epping

1100hrs meet on Southbound platform at Harrow and Wealdstone..
Numbers will be drawn for the teams partaking and you must depart on the NEXT train leaving. We aim to get everyone away by 1130hrs if possible.
After finishing in Epping don't wait there as the next meeting point is Sainsbury's outside Loughton station where me can get some refreshment and re-group.

2) Evening Z1 starting at Barbican

We are then heading to Barbican to start a Z1 as near to possible to 7pm.
For anyone that is meeting us here that was not on the 129 we will arriving on a Westbound service so be on that platform..
The Z1 will then be a mass start as usual...

Particpants can do both or either of the above, anyone just doing the evening Z1 can PM me with their mobile number so I can give you a better idea of our arrival time at Barbican on the day...

The final meet up point after the Z1 will be Earls Court Mc'Ds.... where we can compare routes and times etc...
However I appreciate that due to the late hour of the finish, likely to be around 2230hrs and depending on where you have to get back too, then some of you might not be able to make this.
This being the case then just post your details/times on this thread...

I think that about it

See you on the day :D

When you say "southbound platform at Harrow and Wealdstone", you do of course mean the southbound Bakerloo platform (number 2) rather than the fast platforms, don't you?

Also, what if there's a southbound Silverlink Metro service leaving Harrow and Wealdstone? Does the next challenger have to get that one and change at Queens Park, or wait at Harrow and Wealdstone for the next Bakerloo service?

Yes Bakerloo line platform is correct..

As per the 129 snake map and to comply with the rules already in place it has to be a Bakerloo line service first stop South Kenton.... Everyone is following the same route with the same changes, the first being onto the Jubilee line at Baker St..

I just looked on the Tesco website to see where it is and there doesn't appear to be a Tescos in Loughton? There is one in Epping and Theydon Bois though. So where exactly are we supposed to be meeting?
