Specifically stations, rather than the road itself.

There are currently stations called London Road (Brighton) and London Road (Guildford).

Manchester Piccadilly was formerly called Manchester London Road, Leicester was Leicester London Road and Bicester Village was Bicester London Road.

Carlisle London Road closed in 1863.

As I heard the programme in question I won't give the answer, but I would point out that the programme and track listing are still available on iPlayer.

Just realised that I haven't followed this up.
If anyone's interested, the answer is "When Will I See You Again" by the Three Degrees.

Hot Fuzz (Doris) and The Iron Lady (Carol)
First to 100000 in the 2015+ Tumbleweed contest. Winner of a few rounds of a diverse range of quizzes/games. Some decent times in alternative challenges as a fiftysomething who merely walks briskly.
