I've now had a chance to add in the scores from the semi finals and any bonus points, the final scores on the doors are:tubeguru wrote:A dead heat.
Soup Dragon 53 pts

So I'm only just slightly better than the bookmakers!
However I did win several bets over the course of the contest, so I think it's fair to say I beat the bookmakers this year:
Portugal to Win Final 14/1 each way - won £30.03
Moldova to Win Final 100/1 each way - won £30.94
Moldova to Win Semi Final 80/1 each way - won £25.73
Match Bet, UK to beat Germany 1/10 - won £20.00
It's clear that "Epic Sax Guy" helped Moldova to third place, that's certainly why I thought they were worth a few quid each way

99 points from the juries... almost got it right!Soup Dragon wrote:We won't embarrass ourselves this year! I predict at least 100 points from the juries for the UK, I'm just not sure that Lucy will get the public vote.A Challenge wrote:Can we leave the EBU and the EU to save us from the Eurovision enbaresament as out the EU we'll so no good!
We certainly didn't embarrass ourselves this year.

It was a fun song, but of the two songs of this type in the final Moldova was better and there wasn't room for both of them in the top 3.Tube Geek wrote:Shame Romainia didn't at least get top 3

Advance tip for 2018 contest, my money would be on Russia. They have already picked the same singer that Ukraine banned from entering this year.
I think she will get a hug sympathy vote, even if the song is mediocre she would have a good chance of winning.
