Steeevooo and I are tackling the Dublin marathon!

Post by Sam »

Hey guys!

On the 29th October, myself and Steeevooo are taking part in the Dublin marathon (26 MILES!!!) to raise money for Diabetes UK.

Steve suffers from Diabetes and has been diabetic since he was 3. There is also diabetes in my family, so this is a charity which is close to our hearts.

However, we are looking to raise as much cash as possible and your sponsorship would be gratefully received, however small it may be as it all makes a difference!

You can sponsor us at http://www.justgiving.com/samandstevemarathon

Thanks :)

Sam

EDIT: HAPPY NOW??? :P

The issue is that you can't start a sentence with "Myself and so-and-so...". "Myself" is the object of a sentence, not the subject, so you can only "myself" if the verb is referring back to the sentence's subject. For example, "I tripped myself up on the escalator" would be quite acceptable.

Well ... you did ask. :) And don't worry, it's an error that a huge number of people make.

He's right you know ...

The correct grammar is "Steeevo and I are la la la".

How did we get onto this?

This is just typical of Starkey, just imagine doing a full 275 with him. Myself and the rest of the team have just about had it up to here with him....

Sorry Starkey, only joking!

Hmmm! You know that my attention to detail is useful for our log-making purposes, and for choosing the correct carriage and door. :P And it saves things like:

"What time did we arrive at Queensbury?"
"Oh, about twenty to five."

Well it may interest you to know that it was entirely correct, apart from a waste of good full-stops!
