That'll be Circle line trains being filtered in in front of your train at Gloucester Road then.

Well done!

I think Earl's Court is a decent starting station. However, I'd prefer to start out on the Piccadilly from there...

My favourite route from EC would include an "almost complete Circle journey" (i.e. Bayswater - Aldgate - Aldgate East - Paddington (H&C)). Starkey, how is that for an LBR (Lazy Boy Route)?

Kevin, you appear to have used a very small font there.

I'm sure this is an oversight so I'll gladly edit the post and make it 72-point for you if you like. :)

the reason i picked earls court is because i thought that eliminating the need for a change there would pick me up a bundle of time, i just got unlucky like tubeguru says that they obviously had to clear the platform despite there being circle line traffic blocking up the line. wouldn't happen too often i don't think. i'd still highly recommend it for a start to any serious Z1 though. i waited on the Eastbound platform for about 10 minutes for my train and in that time only 2 Upminster bound trains actually came through. wouldn't fancy that wait while the clock is running.

Nice one mate! Like HÃ¥kan said, if I had to start from Earls Court I'd do the Piccadilly line, and then later do a complete circuit on the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines.

Ah....my 'ultimate' Z1 route does need a Regents Park change. I wonder if I can spare 2hrs 40 minutes sometime soon? ;)

today i thought i'd have another crack at zone 1 with a tweaked route from the 2hr53 one i did last month.

what i want to know is, is there a record for the earliest zone 1 abandonment?! :P

0 stations, 0hrs0mins0secs. well i suppose you could say 1 station as i did visit one before swiftly turning away.....
