"Inside The Bottle" Challenge

Post by Root »

Insert whatever alcohol-related pun you like here.

I mentioned this at Zone 1 day - a challenge which is identical to the Bottle, except don't have to visit any station which is on the Circle Line. You simply have to visit every station inside it, and find whichever way you can to get between the 'end' stations. This challenge is perfect for those of you who like running - another record for Starkey to claim perhaps. Fantastic.

So, the full list of stations:

Bank
Bond Street
Chancery Lane
Charing Cross
Covent Garden
Edgware Road (Bakerloo line only)
Goodge Street
Green Park
Holborn
Hyde Park Corner
Knightsbridge
Lancaster Gate
Leicester Square
Marble Arch
Marylebone
Oxford Circus
Piccadilly Circus
Queensway
Regent's Park
Russell Square
St. Paul's
Tottenham Court Road
Warren Street

Which makes 23, if I did that correctly.

Another twist, which I'm unsure whether to include, would be that you are actually not allowed to visit any station on the Circle Line, and if you do then your time wouldn't be valid. I would suggest this is not made a mandatory rule, as it would go against the rules of all other challenges. For example, if you were doing a Zone 1 challenge and wanted to visit Stockwell, you would be free to do so without penalty.

What do you all think?

If you did implement that "no stations on the Circle line" rule, then you'd have to wait until Regents Park opens before you attempt the challenge.

There are only two ways to do the challenge prior to Regents Park re-opening.

1. exclude Regents Park until it re-opens
2. allow Baker Street to be visited in the meantime.
One day I shall return!
