That's what I thought, but when I spoke to her last week she denied it, so I don't think it's her.

Unless she's been told to lie to everyone :)

We have a total of 60 possible starting stations this year don't we?

St. James's Park, Sloane Square and Vauxhall are out because we've had them before, and Regents Park is closed.

I always wondered what would happen if the start station closed due to an emergency on our way there :)

Yes 60 stations, save the ones you mentioned......

I guess if we arrive and starting station is closed then we have to re-group and re-draw another...... So don't throw them away until we are sure :)

Three options as I see it (to be chosen from by the organisers, there and then):
* Wait for reopening. :?
* Redraw, and hope things will clear eventually.
* Go straight to the pub. :P

Let's hope we get an uninterrupted challenge this year though...

Few questions (apologies if they've been answered and I haven't looked hard enough)

1) Are Bank and Monument two stations or one?
2) Do we bring our own stopwatches?
3) Is there a time limit on Oyster cards (i.e. are you only allowed to be between ticket barriers for a set time)?
4) How many roads must a man walk down before he becomes a man? ;)

Hey James......

1) Bank and Monument are two separate stations and both must be "visited"
2) Yes, it is advisable to bring a reliable stopwatch.....
3) There is a time limit on Oyster Cards, not sure exactly what this is but shouldn't come into play on a relativley short challenge such as a Z1...
4) About 25 I reckon.....

Yes Bank and Monument do count as two stations.
And for any novices who are not sure you also have to visit both Paddingtons (H&C line) + (Bakerloo, District, Circle).
and both Edgware Roads (Bakerloo) + (H&C, District, Circle)

And you are allowed to go into Zone 2 if you so desire. (I did, once.)

I think you can go wherever you choose. Anyway was zone 2 so bad that you only went there once?

2) Any digital watch that show seconds will do fine, since a time sheet (i.e. pad, pen and paper) is, if not required, good to have to "prove" your movements and to discuss around in the pub anyway...
3) In theory the 2h30m(?) timeout on the Oyster could be a limitation, but in reality it shouldn't be a problem...
