Excellent. Do you know when you're on in the running order?

Good - I need the first band to set the recording levels, unless there's a soundcheck I can gatecrash.

Well, the first band are my mate's band.

He's also our drummer. I'm sure he's happy for you to boot him, too.

OK, best to inform the management then in case they get heavy with me.

A spare mic stand to clip the mics to would be good ...

Epiphone. A Les Paul Standard.

Not quite in the 'I can afford a proper Gibson' tax bracket yet.

Only the best copies for BSATCB ...

I don't like Les Pauls and their ilk - I prefer the smoothness of a Fender Strat.

Quite.

I've never been too keen on the strat. I've always found that there's something quite ugly about it, and it's really put me off them.

And granted, it's a copy (even if Gibson do own Epiphone). But a bloody good one at that.

Having seen your rehearsals boys I am sorely tempted, if only I wasn't attempting a GWR on the 5th.... :?

You should come.

The Underground Masker will also be taking the lead vocals on World Record that evening.

Despite the fact he's not even going to be there.

No he shouldn't come.

We need him on our attempt to keep our spirits up with merry quips, interesting observations, and his uncanny ability to get fellow passengers interested in what we're doing.
