OK... here's the craich -

Our house is too odd to be able to use a wireless connection for the internet, but I want to be able to use my laptop to access the internet in other rooms apart from the one with the computer in.

Would it be possible to put a normal splitter into the phone connection, and running two lines out of it - one to the phone and the computer; and the other to my laptop for broadband (obviously with the necessary modem, splitter and wires)?

Mainly - if that's possible - could we run two connections at once? One from the PC and the other from my Laptop?

Cheers guys!

I think you can only have one broadband access point per phone line, so you'll probably need a router (I got an ethernet router with built-in ADSL modem for £17 + postage from the Internet - I forget the site but there's no need to pay any more than that, as the router works very well indeed - and a pair of 15m cat5 cables for £9 from Misco) and run cat5 (Ethernet) cables from the router to wherever you like.

If you have 2 ADSL modems plugged into the same phone line at the same time, I've got a feeling that you'll run into problems.

I have a wireless connection to my pc and we recently got a Wii games consol which has internet wireless access via your tv.....

I can't get this to work :(

Anyone got any ideas or do I need to purchase / install something else for this to function :?:

How does it access it via the TV? Is there a digital box that the TV has, is it by TV aerial (is that even possible?) or is the TV connected into your router?

If it is the latter then you will probably need to change some settings on your router.
