As I am presently finding out, building that really good model railway takes an awful lot of time and effort, not to mention cost! Having a model underground railway is third on my list of railways I would like. Guess it will have to wait for the lottery win!

My N gauge layout is finished :D

I have been working on my OO gauge layout for 3 years and about halfway there

The next thing on my list is an LU layout but as Editorfoot said I will have to wait for a lottery win :(

During my more whimsical moments I consider constructing a scale model of the Chalk Farm to Angel/Kentish Town to Warren Street section of the Northern Line: including correct gradiants and stations etc, but contained within a serious of opaque tubes - just like the real thing! - and contained within a box, 'cos it is underground. Of course the whole thing would look just loke a large wooden box with 8 holes in it (4 at each end) but that isn't the point.

Railway Modeller did a CD before Christmas featuring an underground layout that had appeared in a magazine. Somebody has put the video on youtube:

going more off topic that was a tram layout based on the Kingsway subway on the same CD
