GWR certificate look...

Notice the difference?
In the latest one (ours) we have a holographic style printed seal, while the earliest one (Geoff's and Neil's) have a proper signature. But poor Steve's and Sam's has neither...
Is there any chance Jack Welsby (if you read this), or Steven Karahan could send a picture of theirs?

As I haven't said it anyway (I'm sorry!)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
We are not frauds, the cheek of it, I reckon we are just not classed in the same category as the above.... and Hakan only got a hologram because he isn't english, they are soooo anti-english

Sam, you were in fact the very first to congratulate! The only thing was that you didn't take the "wait and see (what Guinness says) approach"!
I certainly didn't do this exposé to show off my hologram... I do miss the signature (a bit) though. No, it was just that I was surprised at Guinness' inconsistency in what a CERTIFICATE should really be. I also noted that none of these actually even says it's a record!!

Yes, you notice that they never actually say "record" in the context you'd expect.
"Hakan and Lars visited the stations in X ... but someone else did it in Y!"

Hakan,
What I meant is I never congratulated when it was made official

I have now though!
I agree, you would think that GWR would have some consistency (sp?) when sending out certificates, especially for the same record!

I seem to have lost the original photo I took for Geoff to see, but have retaken it albeit not as good quality:

Ha! Interesting facts:
* Signature!
* No hologram!
* The word "record" is there!
* No station count...

And that one has that it is a record stated on it!

Interesting seeing as I recieved my certificate just one day after Geoff & Neil, I would of thought them to be the same.

Funny that ...

Despite the poor picture quality it looks obvious that the "signature" is printed rather than hand written, since they are, as far as could be discerned from the pictures, identically positioned and sized in the two (maybe three, counting Geoff's below) signed certificates...
I don't think I need a "printed signature". Unless it's written with a Mont Blanc fountain pen, or similar, I rather have my hologram, -Thank You!
