Anyone getting stuck in cyberspace

Post by editorsfoot »

I seem to be having a bit of a problem with the pages taking ages to load or freezing before they load, leaving me with a grey page, meaning I can't read messages. I have broadband and don't have a problem with any other site. Any suggestions?

Yes, I've been having exactly the same problems for a month or so! I didn't want to say anything though, assuming that it was just my computer being slow. However on a recent visit to the library I had the same problem there.

I've found that refreshing the page three or four times can help, as can shutting the window and opening another.

What does IIRC mean please?

IIRC - If I Recall Correctly is also another possibility.

As for the technical issues - The server seems to be ok.

I've also had, and continue to have similar problems. Pages can't load or take several attempts.

I thought the internet just didn't like me. But it looks like others have had similar experiences. Anything change with the code over the summer?

Ditto, I've been having this problem for a while now, but again assumed it was just my computer/internet! Interestingly, having just tried it, it does appear to load fine in Firefox, just not IE.

Well I'm glad its not only me then, I was just getting a bit frustrated.

I can't offer any solution though.

Yes I have been having problems at home as well where this is wireless connection, but is ok at work through a server.....

Often painstakingly slow, taking minutes for the grey page to disappear... and yes it is only this website, all others load without delay :?

Well, touch wood, it all seems back to normal for me. Cheers if anyone did do something to sort it out.
