How many tube stations have you visited?

I'm classing visiting a station as either entering or exiting the station via the ticket gates, rather than just passing through on a train.
I guess I'm not the only person here who counts these things, and I'm currently at a rather meagre 113.

I reckon I've visited about 170ish although there are a few I can't remember for definite one way or the other.

I've never really counted this, but a quick check through the tube map suggests that I've done 118 open stations plus Shoreditch and Aldwych, give or take a few either side.

Around 75, more if you count interchanges- it doesn't measure how much you tubechallenge, rather how much you travel around London...

Gosh that must have been done over at least a couple of days I guess?

You can do about 40 a day. I started in July 2001 and finished in February 2005. I guess it must have been about four to five visits to London.
When I was there last month I did the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to Cockfosters and the High Barnet branch together with a couple of other Zone 1 stations. I had about 4 1/2 hours on Sunday and 7 hours on Monday.

I have no idea what the outside of Upney tube station looks like.
Maybe I should go and find out.

I feel another alternative challenge coming on here.

So far the record time is approx 3 years and 7 months

Are Geoff and I the only two people to have seriously considered another alternative challenge that I don't recall anyone else mentioning on the forum?
Can you tell what it is yet?

No - that one has been seriously considered by people other than Geoff and Neil.

I did say I couldn't recall ...
Kevin was right - it was all 275 by car. We were even going to do it. Anyone else up for it?

Does that include taking pictures of, or actually entering them?
How will you treat the Shoreditch replacement bus stops?
