My route's a bit unusual
You'll see - afterwards!

By the way Kevin,
Where're we meeting afterwards?
And who's on your team?
You realise your "Haikus" are 5-8-5, rather than the required 5-7-5?
:D Good spot Ollie, I hadn't even noticed that the question was done as a Haiku..... ps aren't you and Starkey supposed be out on a "275 today :)

I beg to differ
"route's" has got one syllable
The same goes for "Where're"

On the other hand
I applaud your diligence
In making sure I'm right

Anyway back on track...

Erm...
1. My
2. Route's
3. A
4. Bit
5. Un
6. Us
7. U
8. Al

Unless you pronounce Unusual "Unuzhal". I'll allow the discrepancy in "Where're", although how, then, do you distinguish between "Where're" and "Where"? I always thought the former sounds like "Wearer".

I'm a stickler for these kinds of things.

Maybe you're right, Root. On the other hand, my Cockney drawl differs wildly from your refined Buckinghamshire accent, so maybe I utter fewer syllables than you generally anyway! "Where're" was probably dodgy actually. On the other hand, I pronounce "unusual" [un-youzh-all], where [zh] is like the "s" in "leisure".

Perhaps somebody else ought to chip in with a Haiku or two!

tc wrote:At the moment - consider this cancelled until I get to talk to the people I am visiting that day.
Unless tc has any objections and was now planning to attend on 24th July, then we can consider this postponed......

I have been in touch with our forum colleagues that had shown an interest and this will now take place at same time and meeting place on either Thursday 27th or Friday 28th July...... :)

A new post will be submitted as soon as revised date is known... :D

I'll have you know it is a Hertfordshire accent! It is there that I was born and raised.

Oh yes of course, I knew that. You know, I always get those two mixed up.
I've heard that it's nice up there...
