Re: Zone 1 & 2 Challenge - 8th November 2008
The jubilee closure gives an extra twist, although if we are not starting until 1100 at East Putney I doubt it will affect routes that much (will it?)
On a similar vein, if I want to do the Piccadilly when Holloway Road is temporarily closed (due to football) is that allowed?

Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

Hi All... don't forget the meeting point is East Putney with an 11:00 start.
I do not plan on waiting for any late comers, so try to get there promptly.
If you are running late just start as soon as you can after 11:00, but this will incur a time penalty (to be decided by the TOSA / BERC).
We will meet up afterwards at the Horse & Groom, Gt. Portland St., with my route I'm scheduled to be there at approx 17:48.

Yes northbound platform it is. Just to clarify that normal GWR rules apply (as with most alternative challenges) therefore you must visit both stations at Edgware Road, Hammersmith, Paddington and Shepherds Bush. Kensington Olympia must be visited at some stage by use of District Line (London Overground not acceptable).

Re: Zone 1 & 2 Challenge - 8th November 2008
Well even though we aborted partly due to the fact we couldnt be arsed to run and we stopped off for a mid challenge pint between Charing cross and Embankment. We had quite a fun start we set off from East Putney me and A2 and leisureley went up to Earls Court several teams disappeared at West Brompton Joy 54 & Scrxisi and Soup Dragon.and next bit was a Turnham Green double back to Hammersmith and a run between the 2 stations there we decided to stop off at Wood Lane for the new run to White City.
A double back at North Acton and guess which train we get a Woodford via Hainault train the run was done again backwards and we preceeded around the loop getting a good train at High Street kensington doing a perfect Kensington Olympia tube in and train out 1 min arrival/departure.Running to the new station which looks quite impressive we heading east to St pauls on a yes a Woodford via Hainault train. We then jogged to Barbican and went back to Great Portland Street for a run to Regents Park 1 stop and off up to Willesden green where we double back stupidly to Finchley Road.
We walked up a horrible hill to Hampstead and went down to Charing cross and a quick mid challenging pint and ran to Embankment. We got off at Monument and walked through to bank went up to Archway and because the board said nothing we got out and somehow got a bus to Finsbury park. After this we basically came back down the picc changed at Gloucester Road and Westminster got the Jubilee out of the Way and changed at West Ham to go back down the District to Tower hill we really thought of abandoning at this point as we needed beer and we estimate we still be another 2 hours doing it.
