Barons Court

Barons Court will be closed next year. 19 Jan - early June closed eastbound, July - Dec closed westbound.
So does this mean all records attempts will have to make sure they visit Barons Court in whichever direction is open?

When the westbound platform is closed, passengers travelling from east of Barons Court can travel through to Hammersmith, change trains, and arrive at the eastbound platform at Barons Court and vice versa.

Is this to do with Red and Black Barons (or some other colour) perchance?
As to why one direction only, maybe the closure is for platform repairs, so no need to close it entirely?
