I think the rules are fine as they are, certainly more exiting not to have any restrictions in place.........

But it's annoying starting in the same vicinity all the time. Even though no one claims to have followed any previous routes, I'm sure they were quite similar to the Sloane Square ones. We should have variety.

Didn't the winning route from SJP go East, whereas the winning route from SS went West?

I think our current system of any station except those we've already done is the best way to go. We may end up with Victoria next year, but that's just the luck of the draw. Keeps people guessing.

We have not yet had a starting station inside the Circle Line.

we only started west from sloane square because going east was the obvious thing to do, and it would have been really similar to last year.

it was a shame about the start station, but a Z1 race is still a Z1 race wherever it goes from, and i think it would be too artificial to add restrictions like suggested above.

Although I'm new to this lark I agree that we should keep things as they are. The random factor and the luck of the draw are all part of the fun. Although our team (Team Needing Tardis) had a copy of Hakan's route from last year we stuck to a pre-planned circular route that we could do by going either east or west, strangely enough the starting point on my circular route was Sloane Square! Sadly we picked eastbound which stuffed us up as the last connection was Vauxhall to Pimlico.

If it does turn out to be that, I've got a cracking route for that.

The saying "if it aint broke dont fix it" comes to mind....

If needed we can always "poll" it again for 2007

LOL. No, don't be daft, it involves a quick trick to Blackfriars, doubling back to Temple, and a walk to Covent Garden. But don't tell anyone or they'll all be doing it :D

I cant undrestand how you are still "fat" the times you must have done that Covent Garden - Temple walk or vice-versa, isn't it in ALL your challenge plans

Haha - if you can make it up the Covent Garden stairs without stopping, I'll buy your Travelcard for next year's Zone 1.
