Debden has an NR station?

Post by Oggm »

Doing what I do (looking at stations through Google maps) I came across a suspisious rather official looking sign posing Debden as an NR station. A road sign pointing towards Debden station used the BR double arrow logo.

I have never seen anything like it; I'm positive it isn't meant to be there (I guess the GER was there - but over 100 years ago!?). Has anyone else seen something like it?

How interesting! Looks like an error to me. Can't think of anything else like it.

Looks like the sign has only been there about four or five years. A lot of strange things were happening mid-2020... this must be another of them.

You know what, I have driven past this sign numerous times (coming off the M11 heading towards the Debden estate) and never actually noticed this error until you just pointed it out!!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!
