I was up in London today, with a day off work, and time on my hands so I decided on the spur of the moment to have a go at the Mouse, being a challenge I had not attempted before.
I quickly cobbled a route together and refined it a little en route to my chosen starting station, but I must say it is one of the oddest challenges to come up with a route for. There are several 'problem' stations that you need to fit in - Southwark, Lambeth North, Euston Square being chief among them, and not many tricks to overcome them that I could come up with. For Euston Square there is little point in leaving to or arriving from the west, there seems no point in extending the journey on the Jubilee line beyond Waterloo and London Bridge (with their lengthy changes), and you have all the fun of the fair of negotiating Kennington and Camden Town.
I was hindered by having a pretty heavy rucksack with me so I didn't push it too much, but was reasonably pleased with a time of 1:47:02.
How have other people found the Mouse ?
