Tube Timetables confusion

Post by Jaido4 »

I'm trying to plan my first tube challenge route, but i'm unsure about the accuracy of the TfL website for timetabling purposes?
e.g. it claims that Met line services from Rayners Lane to Uxbridge are only available on Saturdays/Sundays - https://tfl.gov.uk/tube/timetable/metro ... 40GZZLUUXB
which I cannot find evidence for online, and there are similar problems with Piccadilly line services around Heathrow only being on Mondays/Fridays and weekends.

Many circle line services fail to show correctly - e.g. https://tfl.gov.uk/tube/timetable/circl ... direction=
the first service says it will arive at 0723 but when clicking through, the station order and times make no sense.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternate provider of this information - or should I take TfL as gospel?

PS: any other tips/route suggestions for a first timer are welcome! :)

Use the working timetables (WTT) at https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publicatio ... timetables

Also note that the central line is currently running an emergency timetable, TTN 100/24, which is significantly different to the normal working timetable.

You can find this timetable from a freedom of information request here: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparen ... -0409-2425

The TFL journey planner should also be up to date with the latest timetables, but it isn't necessarily the easiest to use.
