Dodgy stations...

Post by snudge27 »

Hi there,
I'm planning to do a 274/5 at some point this year or next, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which stations should ideally by carried out in daylight hours. For some reason, Mill-Hill-East strikes me as such... any help would be gratefully received!

I'd aim to do Shoreditch as early in 2006 as remains possible. Otherwise its non-existence could prove a stumbling block when trying to visit it.

haha good response. i did mill hill east at night once. not too much of a problem to be honest. avoid amersham early in the morning and late at night at all costs.

Thanks for the tip Petermiller... unfortunately Amersham is my start point - so that's of no help to me... or anyone else it would seem!

Nice try anyway!

Peter is, of course talking out of his arse :-)

Amersham is still the best place to start.

If you go to Mill Hill East late at night you will probably have the whole train to yourself but it is hardly a crime hotspot.

if you're worried about crime hotspots then mill hill east may not matter, but do high barnet and edgware in daylight.

otherwise, well, i wouldn't advise doing grange hill, roding valley and chigwell too late, they might just be a bit closed.

Welcome uefacup81-are you from Ipswich by any chance?

I don't think it makes too much difference which stations are done in daylight, apart from saying that more light is good for morale, so months like May, September etc. are quite good months to do this (some people say it's too hot over the summer)

You're a Peter too? Can I point you in the direction of the Pete Collective (in my sig). It'll be great. Pete-nic in the Park, 10th June. Meet lots of other Petes!

I know, I know, I was just trying to feel wanted/included......

<<All Petes to th epettenice in the par, 10th june, and all that, webby in the sug, innit, wikkid, man!>>

I shall now spell that bit properly:

All Pete's to the Pete-nic in the park, 10th June, and all that, website in the sig, innit, wikkid, man!
