Upcoming NR Strike

Post by Going Underground »

Looking to get from Ashford, Surrey to East Croydon via Clapham Junction and also Ashford to Alexandra Palace this coming Saturday 25th June.
Does anyone know if the planned industrial action is likely to affect these routes?

Timetable is not up yet for Saturday but if its similar to Tuesday & Thursday -

- a service every 15 mins between Ashford (Surrey) & Clapham Junction (& vice versa)
- a service every 30 mins between Clapham Junction and East Croydon (& vice versa)
- 4 trains per hour between King's Cross and Alexandra Palace

A word of warning, the service is starting later in the morning pretty much everywhere so don't expect many trains if any pre 0800

For Ally Pally it may be worth considering the Piccadilly line from the Hounslow area to Wood Green.

For East Croydon, to avoid shared running sections, maybe tube from the Hounslow area eventually ending up at South Wimbledon then walk/bus to pick up the tram, but that would be rather painful.
First to 100000 in the 2015+ Tumbleweed contest. Winner of a few rounds of a diverse range of quizzes/games. Some decent times in alternative challenges as a fiftysomething who merely walks briskly. Briefly led All The Actons.

Alternatively if you can get to the tube there's the X26 bus all the way to East Croydon.

I'm toying with doing Church Mead if I can cancel my Andover ticket, but thetrainline seem to be waiting until the last minute
