I think the assumption is that as air travel picks up again that T4 will open. Of course, that does rather assume that air travel picks up in time for a summer FNC, which is possibly rather optimistic! You are right in saying that nothing has been announced for a reopening date either.

On the subject of Heathrow Terminal 4 (when it's open of course), given that it isn't on the Night Tube system does the final train of the day terminate at this station or does it go round the loop again like all the others

If only there was a resource that could tell you exactly that...

Not totally sure but I thought the final train of the day ends up at Hatton Cross or somewhere in that area. I might be wrong though.

Does anyone know why it's apparently going to take an entire year to replace 5 or 6 escalators at South Kensington station, which means the Piccadilly Line won't be stopping there until next spring? :(

Maybe they're deliberately overestimating the time needed, so perhaps it might open again a bit earlier than that.

Probably because it is specialised work in a very constricted space?

Nice to see I'm not the only one planning a FNC this year.
Any ideas what date you want to do yours?

It looks like the record will be reset in September

The question then is, whether to go for a relatively slow Heathrow starting route to get an early Olympia in, or a quicker NW start that has the risk of missing an evening Olympia?

There's also the little matter of when will T4 reopen?

Is a visit to T4 by red bus valid, or as it is not official rail replacement is T4 unobtainable ufn?

When it is reset is there going to be a new leaderboard of times for 272 stations like there is now for 270

What is required for a place on the leaderboard? Obviously you won't need Guinness level evidence, but I will need to gather sufficient material to be added

Generally speaking the leader boards work on honesty - whether that's the case with the FNC leader board, I'm not sure - especially given that the first person to set a time becomes unofficial record holder even without Guinness evidence.

Would it be valid to set a time on the 270 configuration without going to T4 due to the closure? And will people be able to set records on the new configuration without T4 due to the closure? What do you guys think about this?

If you're not visiting T4 then you're not visiting 270 stations!! Previously when a station has been closed like this one has had to visit it via Rail Replacement Bus / Other means (My first GWR with Sam involved getting a bus to T4), so I would suggest that this is the standard practice to follow in the current situation.
