Robbie doesn't mind at all. He's delighted!

So delighted, he's even submitted an answer... :D

Odd, I don't seem to have received it...

And, as a bonus - part of station W used to be somewhere else. Where was it?

Now re-submitted, and this time with the bonus!

(It appears my previous PM was rejected as it didn't have a subject. But I didn't spot the rejection alert due to the iPad layout. I think the pop up keyboard was covering it up... )

Just in case you didn't see it in the mix, Station V was also posted a couple of weeks back. I've only had one submission so far, so I'll give you a bit longer before I post a hint.

Ooh, that's an easy one for me.... that was my nearest station growing up. I'll send a PM.

Station 'V' - Hint

Right, I’m back in schoolmaster mode, class! You’ve waited long enough for a hint, so here you go:

We’ve had lots of subjects on the curriculum so far, but it’s a new one this time – Religious Education. Please take out your copies of the good book, and the hint can be found in Luke’s gospel, chapter twelve and verse eighteen… :D (And I think pretty much any English translation will do...)

Sorry, I forgot I'd posted station W - which actually does begin with W! However it is not somewhere you would normally expect to see Mark 3s (Anglia or otherwise).

Having given the hint for Trains500 I'll post the answer at the weekend - somebody please prod me if I forget again!

Station 'V' - closing soon

Roll up, roll up! Last chance for Station V! Make sure you've got your entries in (just in case you've forgotten).

I'll give the answer in a day or two, and have another splendid terminus station lined up...

I'm surprised more people haven't got it. From conversations in pubs after R15s it sounds like a number of people have been on that line.

Station W is Wallingford (Cholsey & Wallingford Railway).

The Mark 3s (along with a Mk1 generator van, an S160 and an air-braked 08) are there for the Polar Express.

Incidentally, the Mark 3s now have the Anglia branding obscured by Polar Express branding on the Wallingford platform side, but retain the Anglia branding on the off-side as we are not running into Cholsey station, so that side will not be seen by passengers.

Indeed. I haven't had chance to write my answer spiel yet, so I'll leave it open until I do....
