I will probably be getting to the pub about 6pm. In the unlikely(ish) event of one of the scanners breaking at work, I will try and get friday off and take part in the challenge.

Yes, I would be up for that. However, I cannot get the time off unless one or both of the scanners are down. They both actually require attention, but whether my boss gets the engineers in for Friday isn't down to me.
