Re: Post Covid FNC
I don't think they run extra trains for events anymore, so you are prob best aiming for a weekend day with no engineering. They do happen sometimes!
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.

It ended up being 5:55 at Northwood but it didn't leave for a while. I arrived at the next station eighteen minutes later. But then because I was too wedded to 'the plan', that's when I cocked up. I should have just stayed on that first train to Preston Road and done the run up to West Ruislip later (as I eventually did). Essentially I wasted an hour from the outset which compromised me right at the beginning

Somewhat unrelated to the thread, but here is an unblocked version of that article: https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https%3A%2F%2Fw ... rground%2Ftubeguru wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 10:27Again, I'm not registering to the Daily Torygraph ...ANDY_JS wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 02:56Most of them need subscriptions these days, but you can usually read a few without paying anything by registering.tubeguru wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 19:01If you're going to quote newspaper articles, can you at least choose those that don't need a subscription to read the article?ANDY_JS wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021, 18:21 This doesn't sound good for the Tube Challenge, to put it mildly.

It utilizes https://12ft.io/ which comes from the phrase "show me a 10ft (pay)wall, I'll show you a 12ft ladder". It doesn't always work if Google hasn't cached the website without the paywall, but for articles that you find at the top of Google search results it will typically work and is 100% free.
