I was on the way into work on the 470 on Monday, when seemingly randomly we got this message from near Morden to Colliers Wood. The driver didn't know how to turn it off, so it kept repeating for 7-8 minutes!

I've heard that one before. I don't see the point of it, surely if there was an emergency the control room should be alerted automatically, rather than just hoping someone happens to pass by and hear it.

I don't get it either. Once I got off I realised just how far away you could hear it, so goodness knows what passers-by thought!
