at king's cross st. pancras, the automated voice on the northern line and the circle line says "alight here for the RNIB", whereas on the victoria line it now says "alight here for the british library!" you would expect people going there to be able to read...

My dad noticed the Northern line actually tells you to "Change here for the Moorfield's Eye hospital" which is actually wrong, it should be alight.

They're bloody pointless if you ask me.

People on the Tube are likely to know where they're going - that's why they're going there on the Tube.

I think these messages discriminate against everyone. Have them removed!

I think they should turn all the lights off on the tubes, as it's quite frankly a bit patronising, when blind people manage without seeing.

Though able-sighted people would really have to have guide dogs, and then we'd know the meaning of overcrowded and sweaty tubes!

At Custom House station, it says "for ExCel" - strange, but okay. Isn't it a bit over the top, however, to make announcements on the Jubilee line such as "The next station is Canning Town. Change here for National Rail Services and the Docklands Light Railway, including services to Custom House for the ExCel exhibition centre".

How much did ExCel pay TFL for that much publicity?

it's true. also at clapham junction when the automated voice is calling the west london line the thing says "west brompton for earl's court"...

They could extend this idea quite a lot, and sell advertising slots to retailers, restaurants, cafes, whatever. Would be quite amusing actually.
