Re: Timesnap
I've made a few more changes to the rules, shown in bold. Most of them are minor bits of tidying-up but there's one important change; if you don't make a "play" post within 1 hour of a successful "snap", you lose 10 points and any other player can make a "play" post. Hope that's clearer now.
I won't start a new game until I've heard back from AC (he hasn't opened my PM yet).

Re: Timesnap
It is (in a nutshell) this: Basically, you get points depending on what the digits of the time of your post add up to. You get 10 pts for 5-9, 20 for 10-14, 30 for 15-19, 40 for 20-24, 50 for 25-29, 60 for 30-34, 70 for 35-39. However, you get 1 bonus points for every extra number to the post before (e.g. 18:54:24 would get 40 [24], then the next post at 19:24:46 would get 50 [26], plus 2 bonus points, so 52)GuyBarry wrote:Have done so. The maximum is 38 isn't it (19:59:59)? If you miss it by 1 second and post at 20:00:00 instead, presumably you get no points at all!Tube Geek wrote: It is (in a nutshell) this: Basically, you get points depending on what the digits of the time of your post add up to. I don't quite get this. Are you saying that you get points for the 9 and the 6 because those digits don't occur in 18:54:24?However, you get 1 bonus points for every extra number to the post before (e.g. 18:54:24 would get 40 [24], then the next post at 19:24:46 would get 50 [26], plus 2 bonus points, so 52)
It's quite a nice idea but wouldn't you just get a flurry of posts at certain times of day and nothing whatsoever for the rest of the time?

No. you get the bonus as the sum of the digits is 2 more than the sum of the digits in the post beforeGuyBarry wrote:I don't quite get this. Fine. Timesnap will start tomorrow, at an unspecified time between 06:00:00 and 08:00:00 when I make a "play" post.A Challenge wrote: I've been away over the weekend! I will play, if that is OK

Re: Timesnap
It was a late (and invalid due to spelling error) snap post! I then tried again, and succeded! It was late as I typed the post after checking the clock seconds at 07 sec.GuyBarry wrote:What was the "Smap" post for?

Re: Timesnap
OK. Just checking that you hadn't made an unsuccessful "snap" post and edited it - you'd have lost 10 points!
