On Tuesday 6th July at 18:25, I finished my #allthestations trip in Wick. 2534 stations using 579 trains in 35 days, 10 hours and 10 mins.

But that’s not 2573 #allthestations I hear you say. True. Seven are mothballed with no rail service plus Heathrow T4 and IOW are closed (9 stations). I missed Menheniot (late bus), Spondon (cancelled train), Bookham, Small Heath, Tyseley and Falkirk High (all planning errors). And on Day 34, Paisley Canal was unexpectedly closed (6 stations) and I ran out of time for Ayr/Stranraer (11 stations). It was full on every day with no days off except Day 33, which was a Scotrail strike Sunday.

Thanks to railwaydave, xcooler123 and Al for their help and encouragement.

Interesting, but they didn't (or haven't quite yet) manage all the stations as it seems their service to Heysham Harbour was cancelled.
Also I think they could have been more efficient had they allowed themselves to use buses, feet, or even the Festiniog Railway to connect lines - there appears to have been a lot of doubling back.

Coincidentally a friend and I were discussing on Saturday how long it would take to visit all the stations in Wales - this goes some way towards answering it!

I'm interested to know what you thought would be fastest for Wales?
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.
