First to 100000 in the 2015+ Tumbleweed contest. Winner of a few rounds of a diverse range of quizzes/games. Some decent times in alternative challenges as a fiftysomething who merely walks briskly.

I think today might be the 34th anniversary of the date that Matthias Rust flew this plane into Russia, confusing the Soviet authorities and landing it on a bridge in the centre of Moscow?

Apparently it undermined the reputation of the Soviet military.

(I think we're okay to publish answers in the main thread in this quiz - am I right? Apologies if I should have PMed it...)

Absolutely!
I've been going through the many digital photos I've taken over the years, came across this one and realised it was the anniversary.
If you're interested it is in the German Museum of Technology in Berlin.
