I have 3 new times from a Zone 1 Race I organised with my friends on Wednesday. We started at a station picked out of a hat (which was Bank) and set off after 15 minutes of planning time. Turns out my team won by quite a margin.
All done on 17/06/15:
03:12:53 Alex Kneller, Juan Luis Bradley & Ayodeji Akintunde
04:00:40 Rob Arrow, Jonathan Rawlinson & John Bate
04:13:20 Sam Ling, Megan Brown & Adem Bayraktar

We have a new Zone 1 target to beat.
Well done to Clive Burgess (aka tufnellpark) who has completed the Zone 1 challenge in 02:36:30, thus becoming the new Zone 1 record holder.
Explorer Ticket will be updated accordingly.

We have some top times to add from Z1 day and the adjusted one for Damian Cook, Matthew Cook and Kevin Brown is 2:52:42 with the reset done at Euston
Thanks

On Zone 1 day I was late and didn't get to the start station, but I did my own Zone 1 challenge.
Here's the time and route for inclusion in the Top Times list:
Time:
3h 05m 51s
Bond Street
Queensway
run to Bayswater
Earl's Court
Russell Square
Holborn
Bank
Moorgate
Euston
Waterloo
London Bridge
Elephant & Castle
Paddington (Bak)
run to Paddington (H&C)
Aldgate
run to Aldgate East (in torrential rain)
Sloane Square
Victoria
Vauxhall
This was on Friday 2 June 2017. I think the other Zone 1 Challenge 2017 times in the list have the wrong date against them.

That's a very neat route!
Also helped by having the Queensway/Bayswater change at the beginning so you can time the first train to tie up nicely with the every 10 minute District Line service.

Yes you could, although for this attempt I started on the first train after 1pm in line with the Z1 Challenge.

How did that connection work out for you? If it was timed correctly, might there be a sub- 3 hour time on the cards?

You could save maybe two or three minutes on the first connection. You could save a lot more by running.
The only proper running I did was between the Aldgates because of the rain.
